Introduction to the characteristics and application fields of fiberglass mesh cloth

Fiberglass cloth is used to manufacture reinforced plastics or rubber, and when used as a reinforcing material, it has the following characteristics:
1. High tensile strength and low elongation rate;
2. Good flame retardancy and high heat resistance;
3. Good electrical insulation performance and high-frequency dielectric properties;
4. Good sound absorption and insulation;
5. Excellent acid and alkali resistance.
Application of fiberglass mesh fabric:
(1) In terms of fire prevention, it can be used as smoke barriers, fire curtains, fire-resistant clothing, fire-resistant blankets, welding protective blankets, fire-resistant smoke curtains, fire extinguishing blankets, cable fire protection, etc;
(2) In terms of insulation, it can be used for dismantling insulation jackets and pads, boiler insulation, engine compartment insulation, or other fire insulation systems;
(3) In the petrochemical industry, it can be used as pipelines and storage tanks for the storage of strong acid and alkali substances.
(4) Fiber cloth is also widely used in industries such as shipbuilding, aerospace, energy, metallurgy, large-scale power generation equipment, electrical insulation, cement, machinery, and construction.
(5) Fiberglass cloth has good insulation, strong heat resistance, good corrosion resistance, and high mechanical strength, but its disadvantages are brittleness and poor wear resistance.
(6) The performance advantages of fiberglass cloth make it commonly used in composite materials for reinforcement and toughening. Of course, it is also widely used in fields such as electrical insulation materials, thermal insulation materials, and circuit substrates.
